Fujitsu First to Introduce Highly-reliable and Hygienic Palm Vein Authentication to a Mobile Workstation

Fujitsu CEMEA&I

Munich, November 28, 2013 Fujitsu today introduces a new mobile device designed to deliver advanced workstation power and expandability for users on the go, while meeting the needs of the most security-conscious of organizations, including banks, healthcare providers and retailers. Fujitsu is optimizing data safety and simultaneously simplifying security processes by integrating into the sleek FUJITSU Workstation CELSIUS H730 its own industry-leading PalmSecure technology, which quickly and hygienically collects and authenticates the unique pattern of the flowing veins in the palm held over a built-in sensor. Delivering palm vein authentication on a mobile workstation is the latest in a series of Fujitsu innovation firsts.
The CELSIUS H730 comprises the best-in-class ergonomics and flexibility customers expect from the Advanced line of CELSIUS Systems – such as a modular bay, 4th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processors, the second generation of NVIDIA-Kepler-achitecture graphics, and all the functionality, quality, processing and graphics performance. Additional optional security benefits include Advanced Theft Protection (ATP), PalmSecure authentication or fingerprint sensor.
Developed and successfully introduced by Fujitsu as a stand-alone biometric authentication solution used by hundreds of organizations around the world, PalmSecure is one of the most practical and reliably accurate commercially-available biometric technologies.

Pricing and availability

The new CELSIUS H730 models are orderable now and are available in December 2013 in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. They are sold via Fujitsu channel partners. Prices vary according to region and configuration starting at 1,599 Euro incl. VAT.
