News facts:

  • Significant new customer wins validate Fujitsu’s service-driven approach to delivering ICT services
  • Flexibility of service delivery distinguishes Fujitsu from competitors
  • Globalization of services portfolio accelerates
Fujitsu today at Fujitsu Forum 2013 highlights growing momentum as it continues to develop its services business across EMEA&I (Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India). As Fujitsu accelerates the globalization of its services portfolio, so the European region has seen significant new wins and Fujitsu reports an increase in multi-national opportunities.

Every day, a 31,000 strong international team of Fujitsu services staff provides support for more than 4.4 million end-users, in 177 countries, with 41 languages. And every month, customers depend on Fujitsu to handle their 1.5 million support requests.

In EMEA&I, Fujitsu’s services business has achieved significant new customer wins in 2013, including the German Federal Labor Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) and the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) in Spain. In addition, Fujitsu confirms an increase in the volume of business from multi-national operations, as a consequence of its ongoing globalization of IT services.

With 50 percent of the global Fortune 1000 now being customers of Fujitsu services, when it comes to big data, Fujitsu is playing in the major league, managing around 140PB of data and almost 150,000 servers located in a total of 113 own- and customer-managed datacenters around the globe.

Fujitsu’s world-class services resources

Customers are supported by a combination of local and global resources: a worldwide network of more than 100 datacenters, 6 multi-lingual service centers, 7 Global Delivery Centers and networked Cloud centers. Global Delivery Centers provide follow-the-sun services operations support, delivering services expertise to customers to a consistently high service level. With international services business comprising more than 50 percent of its group revenues, generating approximately EUR 6.4 Billion annual revenue, Fujitsu is now one of the top four leading global ICT Services companies.

Flexible services approach

This growth underlines that Fujitsu is capable of scaling to global levels to support customers who want a one-stop shop for their entire ICT infrastructure. Fujitsu designs, builds, operates and maintains entire infrastructures on behalf of multinational and global companies, boasting a broad ICT services portfolio covering Business Application Services, Managed Infrastructure Services and Technical and Maintenance Services. All are delivered around the world within a flexible organization instead of the “one-size fits all” approach favored by some services providers.
