Fujitsu today announced that it has achieved the efficiency/power-performance hat-trick, with world-record results in the mono-socket, quad-socket, and now the dual-socket class of industry standard servers. New results from the independent Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) confirm the new Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX200 S7 as the world record holder in energy efficiency for two-socket servers, achieving 5.177 overall ssj_ops/watt.1
The new server was launched together with the mono-socket tower server PRIMERGY TX150 S8. Offering a performance advantage of up to 50 percent compared to the previous generation, the servers are ideal for SMEs, branch offices or virtualized infrastructures. With the Intel Xeon E5 processor family the PRIMERGY TX150 server line receives a platform upgrade leading to higher performance and expandability in an one-socket server than ever before.
Both, the PRIMERGY TX150 S8 and the PRIMERGY TX200 S7, are designed for SME applications where the main focus is on expandability and availability, without compromising energy-efficient performance.
