Marcel Schneider Appointed Fujitsu Managing Director in Germany

Fujitsu today announces that the new General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Sales Cluster Germany at Fujitsu Technology Solutions is Marcel Schneider, who will take up his position later this year. As head of the German sales cluster, Schneider will not only drive the business in one of Fujitsu’s most important markets but also become a member of Fujitsu’s Executive Team for CEMEA&I.

 

Schneider, aged 46, is currently General Manager at Microsoft for the multi-country organization Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), with responsibility for 23 small and medium-size country organizations. He holds a degree in electronic and economic engineering and previously served as Microsoft Germany’s General Manager for the Key Account Business. His past experience also includes roles at Sun Microsystems and Dell Computer.

 

At Fujitsu, Schneider will take on a key position: the German business plays a major part in the European IT infrastructure provider’s overall revenues for the CEMEA&I region. Of a total of around 6000 employees working for Fujitsu in Germany, about 2000 are employed by the sales region Germany.

 

Marcel Schneider is expected to assume his duties at Fujitsu on October 1, 2011.
