Fujitsu FastOn for ESPRIMO PCs Boosts Productivity with Super Fast Desktop Access

Munich, November 04, 2011

Fujitsu today introduces FastOn enabled ESPRIMO PC technology, cutting down desktop PC boot times by two thirds from what is possible with current desktop PC installations. Employees are saved from wasted time waiting for their computers to boot or reboot.

Fujitsu’s calculations prove that FastOn can lead to cumulative savings of more than 10 working days over a year from a 100-strong company network of desktop PCs – providing businesses with a competitive edge. These savings are calculated based on daily system boots as well as further system restarts required by software updates and patches.

Fujitsu is integrating FastOn technology into selected superior-line models in the ESPRIMO desktop PC range. The ESPRIMO P900 and ESPRIMO E900 models feature BIOS optimization for fast booting, while an optimized version of Windows 7 Professional is factory pre-installed. Optimized FastOn ESPROMO PCs feature Solid State Drives (SSDs) and a choice of Intel Core™ i5 or i7 processors. Enabled by a BIOS integrated switch, the optimized fast boot feature will also boost access time for other system configurations.

Fujitsu’s ESPRIMO premium selection PCs with FastOn technology will be available from December 2011 via Fujitsu SELECT channel partners. More FastOn variants will be available through the standard pricelist starting from December 2011. Pricing varies according to region.
