Fujitsu today announces an extended proGREEN selection, including two ESPRIMO PCs, two LIFEBOOK notebooks and two CELSIUS workstations, in response to channel partner requests to expand the popular line. Providing energy-saving, high-end systems at competitive prices, the expanded proGREEN selection meets a range of user needs for those on the move, in the office, or looking for workstation power.
Fujitsu’s high-performing, energy-saving product line, available exclusively via channel partners, is distinguished by proGREEN selection badges. To earn the coveted label, products must have energy-saving features such as pre-installed power management, or power optimized processors such as the Intel® vPro™ technology, including the Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 vPro™ processors, and ENERGY STAR® 5.0 certification.
Advanced energy-efficient ESPRIMO PC selection
For those seeking advanced energy-efficient PCs, the proGREEN ESPRIMO E9900 and ESPRIMO P9900 are powerful and affordable solutions. Specification includes the latest Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ processor, as well as a power supply with up to 89 percent efficiency and 0-Watt power-off technology, saving more than 10 percent on energy use compared with the previous PC generation. The halogen-free mainboard reduces toxic chemicals used in production. As a result, the ESPRIMO E9900 and ESPRIMO P9900 have been awarded environmental certifications including Nordic Swan, Blue Angel, ENERGY STAR® 5.0 and EPEAT.
Eco-friendly mobile computing
Two LIFEBOOK notebooks, the LIFEBOOK E780 and LIFEBOOK S710 represent Fujitsu’s proGREEN selection for mobile users. Customers can choose between two different display sizes: 14-inch and 15.6-inch. Also certified for ENERGY STAR® 5.0, the notebooks are up to 25 percent more energy-efficient compared to previous models, quite a feat considering that notebooks are already highly-energy efficient. Additional energy savings are achieved by an AC adapter with 87 percent efficiency, an energy-saving LED backlight, and Fujitsu’s EcoButton that switches off non-essential components in eco mode, extending battery runtime by up to an hour. Such increased efficiency enables tremendous battery runtime, up to 18 hours for the LIFEBOOK E780 with two batteries. And for added mobile security the models feature Fujitsu’s Advanced Theft Protection (ATP) module.
proGREEN workstations
The new line-up also includes two powerful workstations, the desktop CELSIUS W280 and the mobile CELSIUS H700 with NVIDIA® graphics. Achieving the proGREEN portfolio’s requirements for high performance and energy-efficiency, both models have high-end Intel Core i7 processors. Both models are ENERGY STAR® certified.
Rajat Kakar, Vice President Clients Group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions says: “Fujitsu has been leading the way for Green IT for more than 20 years. We are the first IT vendor to offer a complete range of environmentally-sound products. This product line offers all the environmental benefits along with maximum performance, but without a high price tag. Furthermore, businesses can achieve additional cost-savings with the resulting energy-savings.”
