Patient Information Board

Communication errors are often cited as a contributing factor to adverse events and a cause of complaints. The digital Patient Information Board is a communication tool used to record pertinent information regarding the patient’s care journey. It replaces whiteboards, marker pens and paper-based reporting.

Facilitating communication, care coordination and enhancing the patient experience, Fujitsu’s digital Patient Information Board, positioned at the bedside provides seamless retrieval, update and display of vital patient information at a glance.

Integrated with your hospital information systems and other Fujitsu Smart Hospital solutions ensures information is updated in real time improving communication, patient care, and safety.

The objective of the Patient Information Board (PIB) is to:

  • Provide timely and correct information that enables better patient care
  • Enable central management of all PIB Display devices
  • Simplify and reduce the costs of ongoing management of patient information display
  • Create and design display templates for the content
  • Manage content information to respective display screens
  • Integrate with external systems i.e. EMR and RTLS to provide display of patient information
