During sleep mode, the setting of the network connection has been changed to "No communication" on battery operation. | |
Cause |
This is by design of Windows 10, version 2004. The network setting during modern standby is set to "Connected" by default when power is connected on version 2004, and "Disconnected" has become the default setting when running under battery mode. Also, the network sttings have been able to set for each UMP app. Before version 1909, the default setting was storage-dependent, "Connected" for SSD and "Disconnected" for HDD. (It does not depend on the power connection.) Also, the network settings were set by systems.

Resolution |
In " Windows 10, version 2004", setting of the network connection during sleep on battery power has been changed to "No communication". To change the network settings during sleep, please follow the steps as below for each application. [Procedure for changing networj settings during sleep] 1. Click [Start] --> [Settings]. 2. Click System. 3. Click [Battery], and click an app in [Battery usage per app]. 4. From the "Choose when this app can run in the background list", select the setting you want to change.
