  • Fujitsu Develops High-speed Learning Technology for Deep Neural Networks Beijing, China, CN-EN, November 22, 2016 - Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. (FRDC) announced the development of a high-speed learning technology applicable to the Deep Neural Network (DNN). This technology can effectively reduce the complexity and the size of Deep Neural Network model by using regularization strategy. Moreover, the developed technology uses the quadratic approximation method to determine the optimum path for the DNN model to be converged, thereby improving the speed of learning the DNN model. With this technology, the learning time spent on building a DNN model can be reduced by 50%. It is a general optimization technology applicable to the entire field of machine learning, and can be widely used in various application scenarios.

  • Fujitsu Leverages AI to Develop Highly Accurate Recognition Technology for Strings of Handwritten Chinese Characters Beijing, China and Kawasaki, Japan, CN-EN, November 08, 2016 - Achieves highest-ever accuracy with a Chinese language database from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences

  • Digital IoT Transformation Wuyishan, Fujian province, China, CN-EN, August 24, 2016 - Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. (FRDC) successfully hosted its annual Chinese Technology Forum (FRDC-CTF 2016) at Ramada Wuyishan hotel in Wuyishan, Fujian province, China.

  • Seal Retrieval Technique for Chinese Ancient Document Images Beijing, China, CN-EN, March 30, 2016 - Fujitsu R&D Center today announced a seal retrieval technique for Chinese ancient document images. By applying advanced seal extraction technique and high precision two-level hierarchical seal matching technique, we can retrieve the seals in the ancient document images from our massive seal database to acquire the basic information of the seals, such as seal text, author of the seal and dynasty of the seal. Our technique can not only reveal the classical beauty of this unique world intangible cultural heritage to the public, but also provide a convenient and powerful tool for librarians and researchers to make a better understanding and management of the existing ancient seal resources. We hope the technique might make further contribution to the protection of Chinese ancient archives.
