Fujitsu R&D Center Co., Ltd. (FRDC) successfully hosted its annual Chinese Technology Forum (FRDC-CTF 2016) at Ramada Wuyishan hotel in Wuyishan, Fujian province, China.
Innovation drives the development. Technology leads the future. We are stepping into the era of the Internet of Things. How to make human centric applications and innovation by the digital IoT transformation is Fujitsu’s chance and challenge. Near 200 experts and scholars from Chinese government, universities and companies attended FRDC-CTF2016. They discussed around the theme of “Digital IoT Transformation”, communicated about technology development and applications of ICT technology in intelligent transportation, wisdom park and the medical Big Data. The experts and scholars presented insightful and brilliant keynotes at the forum.

In today’s world, ICT technologies progress rapidly. The fast developments of cloud computing, Big Data, Internet of Things make an era of “Internet of Everything (IoE)”. Mr. Ma Bin, the associate director of academic department of China Institute of Communications, presented a keynote entitled “IoT changes Life, Digital Changes World”. He introduced that traditional information and communication industry faces severe challenge. Concept changing with repositioning and positive response is necessary to find new opportunities under the era of the Internet of Things and digital revolution. Professor Sun Baoqi from Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences gave a talk entitled “Chinese Agriculture and Observation to Rural Development”, explained various problems in our daily life related to agriculture, air and water pollution management, food security Big Data on the dinner table. Mr. Chen Zhengwei, the vice president of INESA R&D Center, introduced INESA’s digital smart park solution, digital smart park ecosystem and the deep collaboration with Fujitsu by a talk entitled “To Build a Digital Smart Park Ecosystem”. Professor Li Keqiang from Department of Automotive Engineering in Tsinghua University presented a keynote entitled “State Quo and Outlook of Chinese Intelligent Connected Vehicle”. He explained the definition, classification and direction of intelligent automobile and the concept and connotation of intelligent connected vehicle. He reported the most cutting-edge technologies in automotive industry, the development trends and the applications of 4G/5G in the intelligent vehicle. Mr. Yang Jing, the expert in “Thousand Talents Program” and former chief scientist of China Mobile Research Institute, gave a talk entitled “Internet of Vehicle – Information Technology as the Innovation Power Driving Industrial Ecological Changes”. He analyzed the current problems of transportation and the future of the Internet of Vehicle from historical and industrial ecological perspectives. He thought the Internet of Vehicle and the Internet of Road re-defined the “execution control” ecology of traffic and transportation and the Internet and ICT companies are deeply integrating with transportation industry. Dr. Lv Hairong, the president of Bringspring Co., Ltd, introduced the R&D and applications of the integrated health service platform based on Big Data by a talk entitled “Family Doctor Service Model under Era of the Internet of Things”. Mr. Han Mingjie, the associate director of the library of China Agricultural University, presented a keynote entitled “Exploration and Thinking of Disciplinary Information Service”. He introduced institute knowledge database, disciplinary assessment and the management platform of research projects, as well as the exploration to disciplinary information service model and the operation management mechanism. Mr. Cao Yin, the co-founder of Energy Blockchain Labs, the chief blockchain specialist of Cinda Securities, introduced the blockchain, one of the most popular IT technology in the last year by a talk entitled “When the Internet of Things meets Blockchain”

During the forum, PFU Limited, Fujitsu Automotive Business Unit and FRDC also demonstrated many R&D achievements and products.
Since 1999, FRDC had annually held an Academic Network serving for experts and scholars from Chinese universities. In 2009, this meeting was upgraded to Chinese Technology Forum (CTF) to further promote the contribution of R&D results to Chinese society. We expanded the participants from scholars in universities to experts of government agencies, institutes, technology enterprises and Fujitsu Laboratories Group of Japan, the U.S. and the UK. In the forum we share our opinions about cutting-edge technologies, update research progress and business tendency. It is a platform for us to communicate current applications and future development of technologies. CTF has lasted for 8 years with nearly 200 participants this year and the forum has always been favorably commented on by the participants.
