Fujitsu will also be responsible for the management of Yarra Valley Water’s core enterprise applications, including its customer information and billing system, as well as voice communications.
Tony Kelly, Managing Director, Yarra Valley Water said, “As a mature outsourcer of IT services we are looking for a long-term partner who can deliver outstanding service today, whilst positioning us for future operational and organisational change. We believe Fujitsu is the partner to take us on that journey with its focus on quality service delivery, its commitment to innovation and its flexibility and long-term approach.”
Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand said, “We are delighted to have been appointed by Yarra Valley Water as its strategic IT outsourcing partner. We recognise that the opportunity to partner with customers, such as Yarra Valley Water, must be underpinned with constant technology innovation alongside ever increasing levels of service to drive more cost out of the business. We are therefore committed to injecting innovation throughout the life of our agreement with Yarra Valley Water, through the use of our unique innovation framework and by leveraging innovative technologies developed by our parent company and Fujitsu companies across the globe.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will provide improved service delivery to Yarra Valley Water utilising the ITIL® (ITIL® is a Registered Trade Mark of AXELOS Limited) framework and an integrated service desk, using CA’s Unicenter products and Sense and Respond techniques. Fujitsu will also adopt a co-sourcing approach to its relationship with Yarra Valley Water, underpinned by joint governance and a flexible and open approach to commercial management. Fujitsu’s joint governance partnership model will marry Yarra Valley Waters’ expertise and decision process to Fujitsu’s technology investment and service delivery, playing to both companies’ strengths.
“At Fujitsu we pride ourselves on our ability to truly partner with our customers. We believe our joint governance model, service delivery approach, commercial flexibility and transition experience, plus access to our innovative technology, will ensure a successful partnership with Yarra Valley Water,” said Rod Vawdrey.
