  • Fujitsu Develops Optimized Software-Controlled Solid-State Drive for Big Data Processing Kawasaki, Japan, Global, HK, 19 November, 2015 - Kawasaki, Japan, Global, November 19, 2015 - Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced that it has developed a solid-state drive (SSD) in which flash memory can be directly controlled by software running on a server. By optimizing data positioning for access from an in-memory database, a world's first, it achieved a processing performance three times faster than that of ordinary SSDs.
