Fujitsu Sets Out the "Fujitsu Technology and Service Vision 2015"

Proposing a roadmap to co-create innovation with customers

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, April 10, 2015

Fujitsu today presents the latest evolution of the Fujitsu Technology and Service Vision that outlines the company's view of how ICT will transform business and society. Helping customers around the world to respond to the challenges of digital transformation and to grow and digitalize their businesses, Fujitsu's vision in 2015 shows how Human Centric Innovation - a concept introduced in 2014 - can be put into action.

The Fujitsu Technology and Service Vision, which has been launched annually since April 2013, highlights technology and service concepts backed by Fujitsu's extensive portfolio and introduces the latest ICT trends and innovation stories of co-creation.

The world is radically changing how underlying IT technologies can be optimized and used to help businesses to respond and grow, and many enterprises are struggling to find the right path to digital transformation. Human Centric Innovation puts empowering people into a clear priority alongside better connected infrastructures to deliver creative intelligence.

The key messages of Fujitsu Technology and Service Vision 2015 are:

1. People are key to innovation.

As we enter a hyperconnected era, products, services and processes become digitalized, the people and things around us are becoming linked together. Value is created by this connectivity. To achieve sustainable growth in a hyperconnected world, the most important thing is how organizations use the potential of digital technologies to leverage the creativity of people.

2. A roadmap for growth in business and society.

CEOs and other leaders can use Human Centric Innovation to create a business roadmap for growth, starting from development of people and business model innovation to participation in cross-industrial digital ecosystems. A digital ecosystem enables innovation by connecting products and services provided by different organizations - enterprises, governments and academic research institutes for instance, through a digital interface. This will be a fundamental change in how businesses work.

3. Digital Business Platform.

A cloud-based digital business platform plays a key role in creating a digital ecosystem by connecting different services. This platform aligns the existing IT system for enhancing productivity with a new type of system, capable of producing insights through connecting people and the things around us. The platform enables the digitalization of the end-to-end business processes. In addition, organizations should look to autonomous and creative talents to create a new business model and a new ICT system.

Fujitsu is one of very few global ICT companies that can support customers and deliver all three dimensions of Human Centric Innovation - people, information and infrastructure. To offer the best solutions, Fujitsu has developed strategic alliances with leading ICT companies. Bringing together Fujitsu's own-IP technologies and the complementary capabilities of these partners enables Fujitsu to co-create new value for customers.
