Medivire Occupational Health Services Ltd. and Fujitsu Services Oy signed an agreement whereby Medivire will transfer its IT infrastructure to Fujitsu's responsibility in line with the Provia model. The service covers a total of 750 workstations in Medivire's 52 offices in 34 towns around Finland.
Fujitsu will be providing Medivire with workstation, server and LAN management services, data communication services, user support services and remote access services with the related information security solutions. Medivire servers will be maintained and monitored from Fujitsu's Systems Management Centre.
The agreement also includes an end-to-end data communication service that will be implemented in co-operation with Song Networks.
"We set concrete requirements for the IT outsourcing, and Fujitsu offered the solution to best meet them. Our key goal was to have one service provider responsible for the whole function: workstations, the network, servers and user support. We used to work with several partners and now we wanted to have only one service supplier," says Tommi Hotti, IT Director from Medivire.
Thanks to the outsourcing, Medivire's internal IT resources can now focus on developing solutions for the company's own specific needs, such as enterprise resource planning.
Fujitsu distinguished itself from the competition with its impressive references, industry expertise and complete, proven processes.
"When looking at overall management capacity, Fujitsu clearly stood out from the competition. Furthermore, they were able to present concrete proposals for the future development and implementation of IT projects in our industry," Tommi Hotti says.
The Provia start-up project at Medivire commenced in February, and Fujitsu will assume full service responsibility as of the beginning of May.
