Fujitsu Introduces New Network In-built PC Scanner

Singapore, June 19, 2015 – Fujitsu, a leading provider of ICT-based business solutions today announced the launch of the FUJITSU Image Scanner N7100, an enterprise scanner with PC capabilities and an integrated on-screen keyboard. In particular, the in-built Central Processing Unit (CPU), Random Access Memory (RAM), in-built image quality rendering software and paper feeding mechanism have been optimized to deliver higher speed and enhanced stability as compared to its predecessor model for a stress-free and user-friendly experience. Easy Stand-alone Network Operation with Large Display 
Large size screen with integrated on-screen keyboard and PC functions are equipped in the compact network scanner, so it can be used in office or in teller window when there is a space constraint. Users can perform scanning, data saving and transmission without operating from a computer.  

• Unparalleled Scanning efficiency: With the enhanced CPU / RAM, the time of the entire scanning process is reduced by 50% from than the previous model^(*2). For regular scanning routines, users are simply able to click on just one button to begin the scanning process.
• High security with multiple users: The N7100 provides data encryption and user verification before scanning to ensure that users can use the network scanner with peace of mind while conducting their daily business operations.
• Quick scanning speed even with plastic cards: Scanning speed is consistent at 25 pages per minute (ppm) even in scanning heavy loaded document such as A4 color, double-sided, at 300dpi. N7100 is equipped with accurate and stable feeding mechanism that supports scanning from thin to thick paper as well as plastic cards. For example, a plastic ID card and application form can be scanned together easily at a teller window of a bank branch or at hospital counters.

Perfect Fit Customized to Your Unique Needs
To ensure that it fits the users’ requirements, Fujitsu’s N7100 can be integrated with third-party applications via our SDK (Only for Windows). The N7100 also comes with a USB port to connect various applicable USB devices^(*3) (except USB memory). Users would also enjoy a piece of mind in regards to network security as the N7100 allows installation of optional anti-virus and encryption software.

High Quality Results Perfectly Suited for Post Scanning Utilization
The scanner driver PaperStream IP, which supports TWAIN/ISIS, is newly equipped with an advanced automatic binarization function (iDTC) that creates high quality results perfectly suited for use with OCR applications. The algorithm would automatically convert the images into exceptionally clean images, accelerating the OCR conversion even when scanning wrinkled/soiled document.
