Fujitsu and salesforce.com Announce Partnership in Singapore

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd.

Singapore, July 13, 2009

Fujitsu, a leading provider of business, information technology and communications solutions and salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, today announced a partnership in Singapore.

Under the partnership, Fujitsu will provide application development and integration services on salesforce.com’s Force.com platform, as well as consulting services for salesforce.com's cloud applications. The partnership enables customers in a wide variety of industries (including manufacturing, distribution, and finance) to dramatically reduce IT costs and increase business competitiveness – key concerns for CIOs today.

Fujitsu will deploy cloud applications by utilising their first-hand experience and know-how to dramatically reduce implementation timeframes when compared to similar solutions in the market.

The announcement comes amid a significant increase in market demand for cloud computing due to its lean cost profile, rapid implementation, agility and scalability. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions eliminate the need customers to pay upfront infrastructure costs, or to maintain their own hardware and software. SaaS solutions are also highly scalable based on evolving business needs.

Mr Lim Hun Leong, Vice President of Services and Solutions Business at Fujitsu Asia, said, “Fujitsu sees Software-as-a-Service as an exciting new development in the industry because of the unique benefits it brings to customers. We have an established track record of successfully deploying SaaS solutions worldwide and are ideally placed to offer such services to customers in Singapore via this partnership.”

Prior to the partnership in Singapore, Fujitsu has successfully developed and deployed salesforce.com’s Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for major financial institutions in the US, UK and Australia.
