Abacus International Outsources Data Centre and Operating Services to Fujitsu Asia

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd, a leading regional IT and communications solutions provider, today announced a five-year contract to manage the data centre and operating services of leading travel facilitator Abacus International Pte Ltd.

Under the contract, Fujitsu Asia will manage Abacus’ existing data centre and operating services, which include the transfer of assets for servers, networks and switches. Thirteen staff from the IT division at Abacus will also come under the employment of Fujitsu Asia as part of the outsourcing deal.

This outsourcing deal marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership between Fujitsu Asia and Abacus. As agreed upon by both parties, Fujitsu Asia will assign dedicated resources (such as servers and rack space) to provide capacity on demand, for which Abacus will be charged on a pay-per-use utility model.

By taking over existing data centre and operating services with measurable SLA (Service Level Agreement) and ITIL® (ITIL® is a Registered Trade Mark of AXELOS Limited) (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Process Methodology, Fujitsu Asia is able to provide high quality services and add value to Abacus.
