Fujitsu Asia Enters a New Era of Transforming Businesses - "The Ubiquitous Way" at CommunicAsia 2004

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd.

Singapore, June 09, 2004

Fujitsu Asia, a leading regional IT and telecommunications solutions provider, today announces that it will launch its ubiquitous system solutions at CommunicAsia 2004. These solutions have been designed to meet the challenges of an emerging era of ubiquitous computing and communications.

Mr Norikazu Karasuda, Group CEO of Fujitsu Asia said, "We are entering a new era of information technology in which interconnectivity of computers and the networking of devices are becoming an integral and pervasive part of our daily environment. The era of ubiquitous computing will begin to transform businesses and continue to permeate our lives. Fujitsu Asia, as a forerunner in the IT & Communications industry, is introducing state-of-the-art software and services as well as next-generation server technology, besides other innovations, to prepare our customers to meet the demands and challenges of this emerging age of computing anywhere, anytime, any place and by anyone."

One of the main highlights that will be presented at CommunicAsia 2004 will be TRIOLE, a new, optimised and comprehensive IT infrastructure for the ubiquitous era. TRIOLE is aimed at strengthening a company's integration capabilities and product offerings. Inspired by the German word for triplet, TRIOLE is based on the three core technological areas of autonomics, virtualisation and integration. TRIOLE is designed to help achieve business growth and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) through speedy construction of highly reliable open-system installations, integration of existing technologies and improvement of business processes with flexibility for future expansion.

TRIOLE provides business agility and increases the value of IT assets with flexible and dynamic linking of new and existing IT systems using "Services-oriented Integration". Another attractive benefit is the rapid development and deployment of business applications through the usage of TRIOLE's application development framework.

In a nutshell, the greatest TRIOLE advantage is its ability to combine server, storage, network and middleware products to create an integrated, multi-vendor system, extending the life of existing IT systems and expanding their capacity and functionality.

"TRIOLE is conceived out of our commitment to contribute to our customers' long-term growth with comprehensive, integrated solutions. With Fujitsu Asia as the trusted partner, our customers can be assured of growth with their businesses," said Mr Karasuda.

The other attractions, which Fujitsu Asia will showcase at CommunicAsia are mobile applications, telecommunications infrastructure management and next generation services, which include pre-paid and post paid systems and solutions. Fujitsu Asia's business-critical computing technologies like the PRIMERGY servers with Fujitsu Asia's FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite Solution is another major highlight at the show. Other interesting areas include Fujitsu Asia's video and web conferencing solutions as well as broadband interactive applications for the goggle box.

In mobile applications, Fujitsu Asia will feature solutions such as in-flight sales automation, e-logistics and e-job tracking. Fujitsu Asia's end-to-end mobility solutions apply real-world experience with traditional carrier networks as well as third generation and public wireless LANs to unify a mobile workplace's IT and telecommunications infrastructure. This results in fully integrated, highly productive mobility solutions tailored for different industries and corporate culture.

In telecommunications infrastructure management, Fujitsu Asia will be featuring IP Centrex VOIP solutions for both telcos and enterprises. Fujitsu Asia's suite of optical wireless and IP-based networking solutions offer ubiquitous connectivity and access to corporate communications.

To add more excitement at Fujitsu Asia's booth, visitors will be invited to participate in a quiz on TRIOLE. Prizes such as Fujitsu's PDAs and a laptop will be given away at quiz shows and at a grand lucky draw on the last day of the show. So visit Fujitsu Asia's booth 5L3-01 at CommunicAsia 2004 from 15 June 2004 to 18 June 1004.
