Fujitsu Frontech launches a new airline ticketing printer series for check-in counters, "Fujitsu Printer 9890C"
Fujitsu Frontech Ltd. (hereinafter "Fujitsu Frontech") has developed and launched a new airline ticketing printer series, the "Fujitsu Printer 9890C", designed for check-in counters at airports to print boarding passes and baggage tags.
With over 130,000 airline ticketing printers sold globally, Fujitsu Frontech holds a 90% market share at airport check-in counters in Japan. (*1) This new airline ticketing printer with high quality and high performance has developed through our rich experience and know-how cultivated over many years in the airline ticketing printer field. The "Fujitsu Printer 9890C" supports a wide variety of paper media used in airports and airline companies worldwide, including boarding passes printed on receipt paper. It is also compatible with RFID baggage tags and liner-less baggage tags (*2), which are becoming mainstream today, through simple add-on or replacement of optional parts without requiring a complete unit replacement.
Features
1. Versatility and expandability for various baggage tags
Simply add or replace optional parts to upgrade to support RFID and liner-less baggage tags. The upgrade requires no special skills and can be performed by customers at their convenience.
2. Satisfactory standard equipment
Equipped with a Cutter Unit and Cut & Clamp functions as standard features, the printer supports a wide range of paper media right out of the box.
3. Compact design for easy installation
Its compact size facilitates easy installation at check-in counters.
4. Enhanced operational efficiency
Sharing the same printer module as the "Fujitsu Printer 9890S" – designed for self bag drop and self-check-in kiosks – allows for efficient management of consumables when used together.
