Simplified Server Maintenance
When a system disk fails, administrators typically have to perform many tasks in order to safely replace the failed disk. This includes:
- Checking console messages
- Identifying the failed disk
- Contacting the field engineer for replacement
- Reconfiguring disk mirroring, and so on
Using an ETERNUS storage system with SAN Boot takes away all these administration tasks. You only need to call the field engineer. After that, the system will automatically recover.
