Hardware resources (CPU/memory) can be instantly added to match workload increases by Capacity On Demand (COD),

Reserved resources (CPU and memory) become immediately available by purchasing a right to use resources.

Without COD, timely resource expansion is sometimes difficult due to procedures including purchasing, delivery and installation.

With COD, already incorporated latent resources can be activated just by activating the reserved CPU resource on screen (*1).

COD is available with SPARC Enterprise M4000 and above.

*1: For making reserved CPUs available, CPU licenses must be purchased.
