Protecting endangered species through our Digital Owl

Our Digital Owl Project is a multi-award winning initiative. As part of the ‘Saving Our Species program, Fujitsu partnered with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage to implement the radical idea of using drones equipped with high tech cameras, and AI-powered image recognition to help identify threatened plant species within the NSW region.

Building a smarter and safer ‘Digital Police Car of the Future’

Utilising our ecosystem of partners, Fujitsu worked closely with KIA Motors Australia to remove surplus equipment, and cabling from police highway patrol vehicles by integrating the required information systems and response controls into KIA’s standard Stinger model, to build a cleaner and safer cabin for law enforcement officers.

Assisting doctors with diagnostic advice

Interpreting computed tomography (CT) images requires professional skills. However, there are not enough radiologists who can read CT images. This is where an AI imaging diagnosis support system can come into play to help medical institutions interpret radiation and pathological images, detect small lesions that even specialists could miss, and present suspicious disease candidate names.
