Fujitsu Mobilizes the Global Workforce with its Workplace Anywhere Solutions Showcased at Citrix Synergy

Fujitsu America Inc.

Sunnyvale, CA, May 24, 2016

Fujitsu will be exhibiting its next generation workplace technologies and solutions at the Citrix Synergy™ event at booth #750G from May 24-26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fujitsu will be showcasing a host of demos that empower businesses of all sizes to securely connect people, data and applications to enable digital innovation and collaboration – supporting Fujitsu’s overarching theme of 'Human Centric Innovation – Driving Digital Transformation.'

The 'Workplace Anywhere' solution highlights on show will include demos from Fujitsu Virtual Client Services (VCS) based on the latest version of Citrix XenApp® and XenDesktop®. Fujitsu VCS can be hosted on a growing range of infrastructure platforms, from customer or Fujitsu-hosted dedicated infrastructure to public and private cloud platforms and hyperconverged appliances. This flexibility enables VCS to be sized and hosted to meet a range of customer needs and requirements of cost-effective, secure data access and management that is scalable and easy to implement, enabling optimized enterprise mobility for all customer types.

At the Citrix Synergy™ event, Fujitsu will be introducing its new ‘VCS Hyperscale Appliance’, which is powered by Atlantis Computing and delivers a scalable, secure and simple desktop and application virtualization appliance optimized for SMEs that need cost-efficient storage to manage company data with zero downtime. The VCS Hyperscale Appliance combines both hardware and software into one and enables Fujitsu to offer customers a flexible solution merging managed infrastructure services, business applications services and enterprise products from Fujitsu to maximize end-user productivity, improve business agility, and drive down cost and complexity. A cloud-based version of VCS running on the Microsoft AZURE™ cloud computing platform will also be featured.

“As one of our largest partners with over 4,000 joint customers worldwide, Fujitsu is leading the way in workspace innovation with their new appliance and joint solution built on Citrix and Atlantis technologies,” said Calvin Hsu VP Product Marketing, Citrix. “With over 15 years helping enterprises to enable digital transformation across hundreds of thousands of users with Citrix-based solutions, Fujitsu is once again innovating the workplace experience.”

“With the latest version of VCS and its all-in-one software and hardware feature, customers can easily deploy the solutions in a flexible and cost-efficient manner. This combination results in an accelerated delivery of a VCS solution and allows us to target specific business units within the enterprise as well as target a new market – the SMEs – as it is agile, quick and simple to deploy,” said Ash Mughal, End User Services Portfolio Manager at Fujitsu America. “VCS and other offerings in our Citrix portfolio are centered on the theme of ‘Workplace Anywhere’, providing organizations with the tools they need to thrive in a landscape where workers are unbound by geography, time zones and office space. In other words, future-proofing our customers’ businesses.”

“Fujitsu is the service provider with the most experience delivering virtual desktops,” adds David Cumberworth, VP of Worldwide Sales, Atlantis Computing. “Together with Citrix and Fujitsu, we’ve delivered 25,000 virtual desktop seats and are constantly working with customers to simplify the process of deploying workspaces, drive down the cost per desktop and improve user experience. Using software-defined storage and hyperconverged building blocks, the Fujitsu, Citrix and Atlantis joint solution is the most complete and integrated workspace infrastructure in the industry, reducing the storage cost per desktop and providing an unparalleled user experience at scale.”
