Sunnyvale, CA, October 22, 2008

Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., the market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced the Fujitsu ScanSnap S300 was honored by PC World Latin America as one of the finest digital products on the market. PC World Latin America considered hundreds of products to determine the ease of use, functionality and performance for both home and business. The Fujitsu ScanSnap S300 scanner was selected for its affordability, clarity, performance, and overall innovation in the peripherals category.

The ScanSnap S300, the smallest double-sided automatic document feeder (ADF) mobile scanning solution, offers one button conversion of paper documents into searchable Adobe® portable document format (PDF) files. To operate the scanner, users simply load a stack of up to 10 documents into the ADF and press the “SCAN” button to produce searchable PDF files at speeds of up to 8 pages per minute (ppm) for single-sided documents and 16 images per minute (ipm) for double-sided documents. The ScanSnap S300 scanner can also be powered from a USB connection (USB 2.0/USB 1.1) on any PC, allowing mobile users to scan paper documents, receipts, bills, invoices and business cards anywhere they go.

“Products that were honored in the PC World Latin America 2008 Awards set the standard for excellence in the IT and consumer electronics industries. They were selected for their exemplary design, usability, features, performance, and innovation,” stated Elinet Medina, editor in chief, PC World Latin America. “From hard drives and smartphones to plasma's and scanners, the 38 winners were chosen from 112 finalist products by more than 40 participating companies.
