Fujitsu to Unveil Mobile WiMAX SoC at the 2006 WCA, June 27-30

Senior Vice President Keith Horn to Join Panel on “Chipmakers Roadmaps & Timetables”

Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) will share details of its emerging mobile WiMAX System-on-Chip (SoC) program next week at the Wireless Communications Association (WCA) Conference 2006 in Washington, D.C., June 27-30.

At an on-site press conference, the company will brief members of the media and prospective customers on its mobile WiMAX development direction, including key features, roadmap and targeted applications. The press conference will take place on Wednesday, June 28, at 4:30 p.m. in the Embassy Room of the Omni Shoreham Hotel, where the conference will take place.

On Thursday, June 29, at 9:45 a.m, Keith Horn, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Fujitsu Microelectronics America, will participate in the panel on “Chipmakers Roadmaps & Timetables” in the Executive Room, http://www.wcai.com/event/06/06agenda.htm. The panel will also feature speakers from SR Telecom, Beceem Communications, Intel Corporation and Sequans Communications.

FMA will also present its WiMAX products and solutions at the WCA demo pavilion, Booth #603. Exhibit hours are Wednesday, June 28, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Also occurring next week, Fujitsu will deliver a conference keynote presentation entitled “Communications On-The-Go: New Business Opportunities in the Broadband Wireless Era” at the International Technology Association of America (ITAA) meeting at Washington’s Capitol Hill Club. Keith Horn will discuss Fujitsu’s vision of wireless fixed and mobile convergence, and show how telecommunications equipment and service providers can best leverage the convergence of wireless technologies to provide the best access anytime, anywhere.
