Fujitsu recognised for work to improve gender equality by The Times Top 50 Employers for Women and Business in the Community Awards

London, April 25, 2018 - Fujitsu in the UK has been recognised with two awards for its work to improve gender diversity. Fujitsu has been named in the Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2018, while Val Risk has been named winner of the Gender Champion category at the Business in the Community Gender Equality Awards 2018. Both awards are published today as part of Responsible Business Week.
Karen Thomson, Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Fujitsu, said, “We’re very pleased to have been named in the Times Top 50 Employers for Women this year. We want to ensure that Fujitsu is a place where all women can thrive, and in recent years we have focused on ensuring that we have a work culture that allows women to succeed throughout their careers. This includes promoting role models through our Women’s Business Network and making flexible working the default position for all roles, which saw us attract three times as many female candidates in 2017. We are dedicated to achieving full gender parity by 2030, and these awards are a brilliant recognition of how far we’ve come on that journey so far.”
