Fujitsu Recognised as a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services, Europe

News facts:
  • Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services, Europe, positions Fujitsu as a Leader among vendors for ability to execute and completeness of vision
  • Report assesses vendors’ completeness of vision and ability to execute
London, January 17, 2018 - Fujitsu has been recognized as a Leader in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services, Europe, for the fifth successive time. The report, published on January 3, 2018, provides an understanding of the market for managed workplace services (MWS) and vendor offerings in Europe.
In the report1, Gartner’s analysts note: “Increasingly, organizations recognize that next-generation MWS are crucial to increase staff engagement, drive productivity and enable digital benefits.” The report continues: “MWS are centered on delivering a digital workplace experience to end users so organizations can leverage their digital dexterity in the development of new digital business services. End User Outsourcing services traditionally took an IT-centric approach and provided support to a single corporate device per user, such as a desktop or laptop computer, normally at office locations and limited to corporate applications. However, the nature of work has drastically changed in the past decade. Most jobs today require intensive use of technology. They require most workers to be productive in several locations rather than just the office space and, in many cases, outside of regular business hours.”
Conway Kosi, ‎SVP and Head of Managed Infrastructure Services at Fujitsu EMEIA, says: “We believe this recognition from Gartner validates Fujitsu as a leader in MWS2 and in our application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We see AI as a crucial technology to unlock the strategic benefits of MWS and in a recent international study3 of senior business and technology decision makers commissioned by Fujitsu, 88 percent of participants said that the rise of AI and robotic automation will be one of the top three factors to shape their workplace in 2025.
“We believe that Gartner has recognized that our significant investment in the Fujitsu Zinrai AI platform is enabling us to deliver rapid service performance improvement to our customers, with 15 percent of service desk contacts now being resolved automatically. To us, our ability to implement AI-driven, automated and predictive MWS capabilities translates into huge business benefits for our customers.”

2 Fujitsu provides an extensive portfolio of Digital Workplace Services, and currently manages more than six million workplaces worldwide. Offerings include Workplace Anywhere (Cloud, Virtual, Managed workplace services) Social Command Centre (next generation Service Desk) and Intelligent Engineering (proactive technical support services). To help businesses reap the benefits of digital transformation and manage security concerns as well as changing user needs, Fujitsu takes a co-creation approach, working in tandem with customers. Its solutions strike the balance between customers’ existing robust IT infrastructure and fast digital IT, aiming to connect people, data and applications and transform working environments.
The comprehensive Fujitsu services portfolio is combined with a focus on creating meaningful business outcomes. This begins with consultancy, spans application transformation and culminates in the delivery of managed Digital Workplace Services, including specialized solutions across many industries, and technologies including the Internet of Things (IoT).

3 Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming one of the key drivers in changing the face of the workplace by 2025, and many of today’s working practices, productivity tools and physical environments will become obsolete over the next eight years, according to a recent whitepaper created for Fujitsu by leading independent research firm Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC).
