WHAT FUJITSU FRONTECH ASPIRES TO BE

In its supply chain, the Fujitsu Frontech Group will achieve responsible procurement that embraces diversity and that gives full consideration to human rights, health & safety and the environment.

GOALS FOR FY2025

  • Achieving responsible procurement in its supply chain.
    To ensure that its major suppliers comply with the international standards for responsible procurement, the Fujitsu Frontech Group will obtain the following document from its major manufacturing subcontractors and parts suppliers for its core products: (Target KPI =90% or more)
    - BCP/CSR Questionnaire
  • Reduction of GHG emissions in the supply chain
    To promote GHG emissions reduction together with our suppliers, we obtain the Environmental Questionnaire from major business partners.

Under "Fujitsu Way" composed of 3 parts of "Our Purpose" that indicates why Fujitsu exists in society, "Our Values", and "Code of Conduct" of how each employee should act in daily activities, Fujitsu Frontech Group perform the following procurement activities.

Procurement Policy of Fujitsu Frontech Group

  1. Co-existence and co-prosperity with Suppliers
    Fujitsu Frontech Group procures components, software, service, and other supplies which are necessary for our business activities from suppliers, adds new value to them and provide them as our products and services to society.
    Our company and suppliers build trustworthy relationships, enhance prosperity mutually as a good partner and aim for relationships with coexistence and co-prosperity.
    Additionally, we made a "Declaration of Partnership Building" on January 15, 2024.

    Through this, we have clarified our commitment to fostering coexistence and prosperity throughout our supply chain, establishing new collaborations beyond scale and affiliation, and adhering to desirable trading practices between main subcontracting enterprise and subcontracting businesses ("Promotion Standards" in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Subcontracting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises).
  2. Fair and Proper Evaluation and Selection of Suppliers
    Fujitsu Frontech Group promote fair and proper procurement activities. Suppliers are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation from their initiatives including the quality, price, delivery time, and so on.
  3. Promotion of CSR-Conscious Procurement Activities
    Based on "Fujitsu Group Sustainable Procurement Policy", Fujitsu Frontech Group conducts procurement activities with due consideration for global environment conservation, legal compliance, respect for human rights, occupational health and safety, ensuring the safety and quality of products and services, maintaining and promoting information security, fair trade, corporate ethics, CSR and so on with suppliers.
  4. Green procurement
    Fujitsu Frontech Group comply with the Fujitsu Group Environmental Policy and with our basic philosophy "eco-friendly business activity", we regard the approach to global environment conservation as one of our most important management issues and promote it.
    From this approach, in order to achieve these activities, Fujitsu Frontech Group promotes "green procurement" with the cooperation of suppliers, which gives priority to the purchase of environmentally friendly parts materials and products.

Fujitsu Group Sustainable Procurement Policy

As a member of Fujitsu Group, under the procurement policy of Fujitsu Frontech Group, our group is a member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a global CSR alliance. We give serious consideration to the RBA's Code of Conduct and engage in socially responsible procurement with our suppliers and throughout our supply chain. Accordingly, we are committed to complying with Fujitsu Group Sustainable Procurement Policy applying the RBA's Code of Conduct and require our suppliers to understand and comply with these guidelines. We engage in socially responsible procurement with our suppliers.

Also, under the "Policy on Responsible Mineral Procurement", the Fujitsu Group excludes from its products, components and supply chain any minerals that give rise to conflicts ("conflict minerals"), or minerals that are at high risk of being associated with forced labor or human rights violations. (The Fujitsu Group identifies tantalum, tin, gold, tungsten and cobalt as high-risk minerals.) As part of its due diligence, the Fujitsu Group conducts high-risk minerals surveys with reference to the "OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas". These surveys use the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) and Cobalt Reporting Template (CRT) developed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).

Guide to Green Procurement - To reduce the environmental burden in supply chains

We promote "Green Procurement" in accordance with the policy of Fujitsu Ltd. Please refer to Green Procurement page of Fujitsu Ltd. in detail.
Also, "Green procurement direction", "Fujitsu group specified chemical substances List", "Fujitsu group guideline regarding non-containment management on hazardous substances" for suppliers are posted on the above-mentioned website.

Supplier Compliance Line

Fujitsu Frontech Group uses consultation counter for suppliers (the Supplier Compliance Line) as a channel to receive reports from suppliers regarding any actions that are potential or actual instances of non-compliance in our purchasing activities. We verify and investigate the facts of report, which we received, and respond quickly.
Internal reporting standards of Fujitsu Frontech prohibit any adverse treatment of suppliers making the reports.
