Fujitsu introduced our latest SPARC processor “SPARC64™ X ” in my session “SPARC64™ X: Fujitsu’s New Generation 16 Core Processor for the next generation UNIX server”.
I made a presentation of the design concept of “SPARC64™ X” to bring our leading supercomputer technologies to UNIX server processors to provide dramatic performance improvement, and talked about the new Software-on-Chip technology, processor chip overview, micro-architecture, reliability and performance.
I received many questions from the attendees in the QA session which made me feel there is high interest in Fujitsu’s processor. Fujitsu’s processor development team reaffirmed our commitment to continuously develop innovative and industry leading processors.
