Fujitsu Brings Proven Multiservice Optical Networking Technology and Experience to Government Agencies

See Fujitsu at the 2005 GSA Network Services Conference, Booth No. 522

Richardson, TX, August 9, 2005 — Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., a leading supplier of telecommunications and networking solutions, offers federal and state agencies access to the same carrier-proven equipment that Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs), Multiple System Operators (MSOs) and independent wireline and wireless carriers depend on for their mission-critical optical networking and end-to-end service delivery requirements.

Fujitsu is a key supplier of SONET and DWDM solutions to the federal government through FTS2001, WITS2001 and GSA CONNECTIONS. The Fujitsu FLASHWAVE® optical networking solutions and NETSMART® management platforms are available through General Services Administration (GSA) contract number GS-35F-0414K.

Over 320,000 Fujitsu network elements have been deployed across North America since Fujitsu turned up the first SONET ring in the U.S. in 1988. These network elements are key components of networks serving many federal agencies and departments. Advanced research and development programs, plus state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at the Texas-based corporate headquarters of Fujitsu Network Communications, ensure timely product delivery and unmatched quality at a time when most networking vendors are outsourcing their manufacturing operations.
