Fujitsu Frontech North America
Foothill Ranch, CA and Las Vegas, NV, April 5, 2011 — 2011 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show—Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leading provider of IT-based business solutions, including advanced technology products, biometric security, and digital media solutions, will debut its full line of industry-leading encoding/decoding technologies, including the new IP-9610 optimized for 10 bit 4:2:2 encoding, as well as showcase its family of XG-series Ethernet Switches, in booth SU7521 at the 2011 NAB Show. The world's largest electronic media show covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums, the 2011 NAB Show will take place April 11-14, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
WHAT: Fujitsu media solutions are known for delivering exceptional picture fidelity at low latency and low bit rates, making them ideal for ensuring high performance while reducing costs associated with High Definition (HD) video transport, satellite news gathering and broadcasting, as well as IP streaming applications.
• The new IP-9610—Fujitsu’s scalable and highly flexible next-generation encoder, digital media processor and networking platform. Integrated with high-performance application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) technology, the IP-9610 is optimized to meet growing demand for 10 bit 4:2:2 encoding and advanced H.264/Advanced Video Coding (AVC) to support all video formats, including 1080P and “stereoscopic” 3D television content.
• The IP-9500 high-performance, high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) H.264 (AVC) 4:2:2/4:2:0 contribution encoder.
• The cost-efficient IP-9400 HD/SD 4:2:0 encoder specifically designed for electronic news gathering (ENG) and satellite news gathering (SNG) operations.
• The IP-920 HD/SD encoder/decoder for efficient digital content transmission in AVC 4:2:0 format with robust forward error correction (FEC) and automatic repeat-request (ARQ) technology, suitable for less-than-perfect, restricted-bandwidth IP networks.
In addition, Fujitsu will showcase its XG-series Ethernet Switches, which offer high-performance, high-speed Layer 2 switching with ultra-low latency, flexible interfaces and compact form factors that make them ideal for transmitting video data. The combination of new 1Gb/10Gb uplink switches with the existing family of Fujitsu XG-Series 10GbE technologies also empowers customers to deploy a homogeneous networking solution.
WHO: Richard Harvey, product manager for media solutions, and Vic Herring, VP of marketing and sales for the XG family of products, will be available to provide comprehensive overviews and demos of the Fujitsu compression technologies and Ethernet switches, discuss how the solutions are meeting a wide range of needs and demands in today’s broadcasting organizations, and provide real-world customer examples and ROI.
WHERE: The Fujitsu Frontech North America booth, SU7521
