Fujitsu to Showcase Technology Advancements for Security and Storage at CES 2006

New and Novel Breakthrough Products on Display Include: CES ‘Best of Innovations’ Winner PalmSecure™, Industry Leading Hard Disk Drives and Ethernet Switches, Removable Storage Solutions, Degaussers and High Performance Secure Internet Solutions

Sunnyvale, CA, December 14, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced it will demonstrate progressive technology advancements for consumers and professionals at the 2006 International Consumer Electronic Show (CES), on Jan. 5-8 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas.

CES attendees can see live product demonstrations of the PalmSecure™ biometric authentication solution, the industry leading XG Series 10Gb Ethernet Switches, state-of-the-art hard disk drive storage solutions, and Magneto-Optical (MO) removable storage solutions as well as breakthrough new products for storage management and internet optimization.

• PalmSecure: Leveraging more than twenty years of industry leading image recognition and processing technology, Fujitsu introduced a highly accurate, user-friendly vein-based biometric security product for personal identity authentication in June 2005. As the recipient of the "Best of Innovations" award, PalmSecure will also be showcased at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in the Innovations Plus Design and Engineering, Booth #72444.
• XG1200 & XG700 10Gb Ethernet Switches: The Fujitsu XG1200 and XG700 switches are next generation Layer 2, non-blocking, 10Gb Ethernet switches. Powered by the revolutionary Fujitsu 12-port 10Gb Ethernet switch chip, they have the lowest latency, highest performance, and are the most cost effective switches on the market today.
• Hard Disk Drive Storage Solutions: At CES Fujitsu will demonstrate several enterprise storage systems utilizing advanced 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) and small form factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drives. These demonstrations will highlight SAS performance, space and scalability advantages. The company will also showcase a tower operating SATA drives that boasts nearly five terabytes of storage capacity.
• Magneto-Optical Removable Storage: CES attendees will get a hands-on demonstration of the ultraportable, USB 2.0 bus-powered DynaMO® 1300 Pocket drive - a convenient yet powerful removable storage solution enabling backup and archive of important data and computer files virtually anywhere. Desktop users will appreciate the robust 2.3GB removable storage capacity, and drag-and-drop file management of the DynaMO 2300U2 drive. Data is safeguarded on durable, cartridge-enclosed 3.5-inch MO disks.
