  • Fujitsu Planting Trees to Improve Riparian Habitat Plattsburgh, NY, United States, May 31, 2012 - Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. (FFNA), in collaboration with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), planted nearly 1000 trees on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Recreational Park in Beekmantown, NY, and along the Heritage Trail. The NYSDEC’s Lake Champlain Basin Trees for Tribs Program is an off-shoot of the very successful initiative in the Hudson River Valley that began in 2007 and was responsible for planting more than 24,000 trees along 60,000 feet of shoreline. The program is supported by a grant from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service as part of the Obama Administration’s America’s Great Outdoors Initiative.
