Product Features

WhiteMagic™ display enabling the same brightness with longer battery life

With a WhiteMagic™ display, which adds white pixels to the screen's existing RGB pixels, the phone's display consumes up to 45% less power compared to previous ARROWS smartphones that didn't employ the technology. Although power consumption has been improved, the display provides the same amount of brightness as before.

With conventional LCD technology, energy saving is performed by reducing screen rewrites when the display is in standby mode. In situations with frequent screen changes, like when viewing videos, browsing the internet, and playing games—scenarios that are common on a smartphone—this approach has a negligible impact. WhiteMagic™ display technology reduces power consumption not only when in standby mode, but also when viewing video content or using a web browser. In addition, the smartphone's 5-inch HD display boasts 800cd of luminance, among the top of its class of smartphones, making it vivid and easy to read when browsing the internet, reading e-mail and other documents, and viewing photographs and 1-seg broadcasts, even under direct sunlight.

High-capacity 3,200 mAh battery and "NX!eco" app

The handset comes equipped with a 3,200 mAh battery, among the largest of its class of smartphones. Furthermore, Fujitsu has updated the included NX!eco application, which can integrate and configure separate power-saving settings. This enables fine-tuned power-saving settings depending on the user's personal usage style, such as the ability to enter into eco mode at specified battery levels or timeframes.

Human Centric Engine

The new smartphone comes with an updated version of the Fujitsu Human Centric Engine, which delivers optimal usability through cutting-edge sensing technology. The new engine provides comprehensive support for reducing power consumption by optimizing the number of CPU cores and clock speed employed by the phone while ensuring adequate performance for frequently used applications. In addition, the phone adjusts the responsiveness of the touchscreen for each window, thereby enabling real-time power savings. It also reduces power consumption by automatically detecting whether the user is in transit in order to efficiently scan for Wi-Fi access points.

Intelligent camera with high-speed autofocus that can capture the perfect moment with breathtaking quality

The smartphone employs Fujitsu's high-performance "GRANVU" image processing engine, which allows users to capture photographs that are more vivid than ever. F-01F includes photography features such as Quick Focus, which accelerates the speed of autofocus. The speed of the autofocus increases based on the position of the person you are trying to shoot and the angle of the smartphone, making it easy to rapidly capture photographs that look just as you want them to. The phone's Intelligent Flash is significantly brighter than before, enabling naturally bright photos to be captured even in dark locations. Fujitsu has made it easy for anybody to use the camera thanks to its simple operations. Users can capture their favorite shot on the phone's easy-to-use, reliable camera, all with a simple press of the shutter button.

Smart fingerprint sensor

Fujitsu has advanced the development of its unique smart fingerprint sensor technology—which delivers enhanced security to guard user privacy and eliminate the hassle of inputting a pattern or password—in order to accommodate the specific features of each of the models it is incorporated into, such as models with water resistance and ultra-thin models. On the F-01F, the fingerprint sensor features a stylish curved and colored design, and it has been updated to further speed up the time between when the phone is unlocked and when it turns on, enabling even greater ease of use.

High-spec capabilities

The Android 4.2 smartphone comes loaded with a wide range of capabilities, such as a quad-core 2.2GHz CPU (Qualcomm MSM8974), the high-performance ATOK® Japanese-language input system, IPX5/8 water resistance(7), infrared, NFC (equipped with FeliCa), Osaifu-Keitai, 1-seg and full-seg television broadcast reception, an FM transmitter, DLNA/DTCP-IP, Miracast, and Bluetooth 4.0.

  • [1] Over three days of battery life on a single charge

The following is according to research conducted by Fujitsu. Battery life under normal smartphone usage conditions (a total of about 80 minutes of usage per day including about 40 minutes of web browsing, 20 minutes of e-mail and phone calls, 15 minutes of games/video/music content, and 5 minutes for other uses (alarms, etc.)). Depending on the actual usage conditions (continuous phone calls, downloading large movies), battery performance may be shorter.

  • [2] Continuous standby time

Average utilization time in standby mode while normally receiving signal.Times will fluctuate significantly depending on the battery charge, the phone's settings (including standby screen settings, energy saving mode, etc.), the usage environment (temperature, etc.), and the frequency of customer usage. When the phone, e-mail, camera and other features are frequently used, the amount of time customers can actually use the phone may be less than half of this.

  • [3] approx. 670 hours in GSM mode

May be shorter than the listed time depending on the network status of the country in which the phone is used. At the time of purchase, the phone's international roaming settings are set to "automatic," eliminating the need to switch between 3G and GSM inside and outside Japan. Depending on the usage environment, this setting may result in continuous standby time that is shorter than the "3G" setting, so when the phone is used only in Japan, it is recommended that the setting be changed to "3G."

  • [4] Continuous talk time

Times will fluctuate significantly depending on the battery charge, the phone's settings (including standby screen settings, energy saving mode, etc.), the usage environment (temperature, etc.), and the frequency of customer usage. When the phone, e-mail, camera and other features are frequently used, the amount of time customers can actually use the phone may be less than half of this.

  • [5] approx. 97.1 hours

  • [6] approx. 190 minutes

Charging time when using AC adapter 04.

  • [7] IPX5/8 water resistance

The IPX5 designation indicates that the mobile phone can normally function after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3m for a period of at least 3 minutes. The IPX8 designation, in the case of the F-01F, indicates that the mobile phone functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap water to a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes.
