Fujitsu Launches Rapid Deployment Solution for "Oracle® Hyperion Planning"

Offered as an all-in-one model including hardware, software and services

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, February 28, 2013

Fujitsu today announced the development and immediate availability of its rapid deployment solution for "Oracle® Hyperion Planning." The new Fujitsu solution is a proprietary template that brings together the products and services required to support the rollout of business management platforms, including budgeting and P&L management. The new solution is specifically geared toward Oracle Hyperion Planning, a budgeting, planning and forecasting solution from Oracle Corporation.

This new solution will make it possible to quickly, inexpensively, and efficiently undertake what had been complicated and time-consuming business tasks, such as budget planning and management, and simulation-based forecasting.

Offered as an all-in-one package including hardware, software, and licenses, the solution can be flexibly configured to accommodate additional licenses and hardware modifications.

In recent years, the business environment has undergone turbulent change, and companies have been confronted with a rapidly growing need to be able to quickly perform operations planning and forecasting. At the same time, the process of budget design and management is complex and time consuming, and installing sophisticated software to handle these processes have proven a challenge.

To respond to the growing need for an enhanced business management solution, Fujitsu is launching this solution to improve the speed, cost and efficiency of a variety of business tasks, ranging from budgeting to managing month-to-month planned versus actual performance data and rolling forecasting.

Intended specifically for Oracle Hyperion Planning, which already has a strong reputation for its adaptability, the new solution offers a template developed by Fujitsu as part of an all-in-one package that can be deployed small-scale and then expanded in stages.

Solution Features

1. Functionality enabling a three-axis model for budget design/management

The solution offers over 20 functions. Based on organization, business and market axes, the solution templates rules for user interface and calculations with regard to budget development and management, goal forecasting and analysis functions. Leveraging Fujitsu's experience to deliver functionality that can be broadly employed by any company, customers can quickly build their business management platform.

2. Wide range of tools offers shortened lead times to operation

Along with installation tools, the solution offers instantly accessible master data and transaction data, and a training environment can be built in as little as 10 days. This is useful for enabling customers to quickly understand how deployment works, thereby making it possible to accelerate the periods needed for testing and operational training.

Moreover, in addition to usage manuals and supplementary materials for training, an English edition of the operations manual is available for overseas deployments.

3. All-in-one set including hardware and software

In addition to operational templates (operations flow, model definitions, deployment tools, training materials), Fujitsu offers the new solution in an all-in-one model that includes necessary hardware, software, licenses, and deployment assistance. The package is offered with the flexibility to add licenses, add or change hardware, or add other required elements.
