Tokyo, November 16, 2011 — Fujitsu today announced that its new docomo with series REGZA Phone T-01D smartphone will be available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO, Inc., beginning November 18, 2011.
REGZA Phone T-01D is equipped with Mobile REGZA Engine 5.0, the most advanced high-quality imaging technology, enabling users to enjoy beautiful still photos and video images. With the REGZA Link Share function that connects with REGZA and REGZA Blue-ray, users can view high-quality video or terrestrial digital broadcasts from anywhere and at anytime. Along with a 13.1 megapixel camera, which is among the best offered by any smartphone, the mobile phone incorporates Fujitsu's original human-centric engine, a 1.2 GHz high-performance dual core CPU, and a fingerprint sensor, making REGZA Phone T-01D a high-spec, water-resistant smartphone.
REGZA Phone T-01D is equipped with Mobile REGZA Engine 5.0, the latest technology for enhancing image quality, which adds new functions (such as 720p-compatibility, texture enhancement technology, and gradation restoration technology) to the Mobile REGZA Engine 3.0 ultra-high resolution technology that has been offered since the first generation of REGZA Phones.
The smartphone works with REGZA Link Share, which is connected to REGZA and REGZA Blue-ray, enabling users to enjoy terrestrial digital broadcasts recorded using REGZA Blue-ray, as well as programs on REGZA, from their kitchens or bedrooms, or anywhere in their homes. If programs recorded with REGZA Blue-ray are stored on the REGZA Phone, users can continue to enjoy high-definition programming even away from home.
REGZA Phone T-01D is equipped with a high-performance 1.2GHz dual core CPU (OMAP4), which delivers extraordinary processing performance to enable the use of such applications as video playback, touchscreen operation, and web browsing through easy manipulation of the quick-response touchscreen.
For camera functions, the mobile phone is equipped with a 13.1 megapixel camera, which is among the best offered by any smartphone, and also allows users to record full high-definition video. The smartphone's fingerprint sensor makes security management easy, using fingerprint authentication to unlock screen and application locks, without the need to input a password.
Furthermore, the smartphone features a host of standard and convenient features, all in one handset, such as water- (IPX5/8) and dust-resistant(IPX5)(1) technology allowing for use even while taking a bath(2); the Fujitsu Mobile Integrated Dictionary+, which enables use of 29 electronic dictionaries; Ultra Integrated Search Engine with instant browsing result; NX!input, a high-performance hand-writing recognition engine; infrared signal; and mobile wallet (Osaifu Keitai).
The high-performance camera, with 13.1 megapixel resolution, is equipped with "Exmor®Rfor mobile" back-illuminating CMOS sensor along with a high-resolution "Milbeaut® Mobile" image processing engine. This combination allows for high-resolution photographs and videos.
In addition to the basic functions such as full HD video capability and unlimited sequence photo mode, the smartphone is loaded with entertainment features, such as chrome key mode, "art camera" mode, which allows users to shoot videos with toy-camera effects, and focus control. It is easy to index pictures and videos in "My Collection" by location and subject.
The smartphone is equipped with an alarm clock system that monitors and analyzes the user's sleeping condition for the best wake-up call time; a 3D motion-sensor technology to diagnose the body posture; and sound control technology that responds to the noise level in the environment and the hearing ability of the user.
The smartphone is newly-equipped with a fingerprint sensor to allow users to unlock screen and application locks, without the need to input a password. Users are also able to conveniently manage often forgotten and sometimes complicated IDs and passwords via "Password Manager."
