Fujitsu Offers Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track Solution for Private Clouds

Fujitsu today announced that it has begun offering solutions under the Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track program. The solutions make it easy to build private cloud environments based on the Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud architecture.

These solutions provide organizations planning to implement a private cloud with PRIMERGY servers, ETERNUS storage, networking equipment, and management software, all of which have been pre-qualified for Hyper-V and pre-configured. This ensures quick implementation of private-cloud environments based on Hyper-V Cloud.

Fujitsu's PRIMERGY BX900 blade server system allows organizations to deploy their systems with one high-density blade server at a time. Coupled with the end-to-end flexible data safe scalability of ETERNUS storage system, they have the ability to grow their overall systems exactly to their needs.

Many companies today are interested in private clouds as a way to optimize their information and communication technology investments; however, building a private cloud requires many issues to be addressed in advance. They include advanced testing, design, operating rules, and security policies which can be discouraging when taking the first step.

Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track is a program in which Microsoft partners put together packages that include all of the elements needed to run a private cloud based on the Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track architecture. Fujitsu's solution using Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track combines its PRIMERGY BX900 blade server system, ETERNUS storage systems, ServerView Resource Orchestrator flexible resource management software, and the company's know-how gained from building and operating cloud systems. Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track is a program whereby Microsoft together with selected hardware vendor partners jointly test hardware and software configurations optimized for private clouds. These are then provided as operationally validated reference platforms. In addition, they also provide guidelines on deployment and operation. This has major benefits in reducing deployment costs, shortening implementation time, and ensuring stable system operation.
