Tokyo, April 26, 2011
Fujitsu today announced that its new data transmission card F-06C will be available from NTT DoCoMo, Inc. in Japan beginning April 30, 2011.
The F-06C is the world's first ExpressCard-type data transmission card(1) supporting NTT DoCoMo's LTE next-generation mobile communications service, "Xi", pronounced "crossy". The F-06C can accommodate mobile data transfer at ultra-high-speed transmission(2) rates of up to 37.5 Mbps downstream and up to 12.5 Mbps upstream enabling users to quickly access and comfortably enjoy broadband at speeds comparable to those of optical networks.
Background
NTT DoCoMo launched "Xi," its LTE next-generation mobile communications service, on December 24, 2010, in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, and is gradually expanding its service area.
The data transmission-dedicated card F-06C enables FOMA® high-speed data transfer(3) with downlinks up to 7.2 Mbps and uplinks up to 5.7 Mbps, even outside of Xi service areas.
The F-06C can also be connected to a PC card slot using a card adapter to accommodate PCs with a limited number of slots.(4)

It also enables FOMA® high-speed data transfer, with downlinks up to 7.2 Mbps and uplinks up to 5.7 Mbps, outside of Xi service areas. In addition, the F-06C supports NTT DoCoMo's World Wing® international roaming service, enabling packet transfer even outside Japan in areas covered by 3G and GPRS networks.(5)
2. Simple Setup and Out-of-the-Box Usability
Setup for the F-06C is simple. When the F-06C is connected to a PC, the zero-install feature(6) will automatically activate the installation screen for the F-06C transmission setup file and connection software.
