Notice Regarding Impact of Earthquake in the Tohoku Region of Japan

Fujitsu would like to express our heartfelt condolences to everyone who has been affected by the earthquake which hit the Tohoku (northeast) region of Japan on Friday, March 11, 2011.

In addition to addressing the recovery efforts of the disaster-stricken region, the Fujitsu Group is placing high priority to the recovery of affected social systems including electricity, water, gas, hospitals, and police and fire departments, in order to support the local residents and community of the affected areas. Fujitsu asks its customers for their understanding and support at this difficult time.

The Fujitsu Group will be donating 100 million yen and relief supplies to support the rescue and recovery efforts.

The earthquake has affected the operations of the Fujitsu Group as follows:

1. Damage Situation and Recovery Process

In accordance with the Fujitsu Group's disaster recovery measures, a disaster response headquarters has been established, with President Masami Yamamoto acting as head chief, to collect information on the safety of all Fujitsu Group employees and on the extent of damage sustained by Fujitsu Group facilities and its customers. Damages to buildings and production equipment including the ceilings, walls, and drain pipes of the Fujitsu Group's plants and offices have affected business operations. Furthermore, planned rotational electricity blackouts have affected operations of Fujitsu Group companies based in the Kanto region of Japan.

2. Amount of Loss and Effects on Profits

The amount of loss and effects on profits as a result of the earthquake are currently unknown. Fujitsu will promptly make an announcement should these effects be significant.

The Fujitsu Group sincerely hopes for the speediest possible recovery to everyone in the regions affected by this disaster.
