Fujitsu Launches Foreign-Language Support for PC Customers

-Telephone technical support offered in customer's native language-

Fujitsu today announced the launch of a fee-based foreign-language telephone support service for Fujitsu PC users in Japan. The service allows customers who feel uneasy communicating in Japanese to receive technical support in their native language via telephone. The service begins with support in Korean.

With the globalization of markets, the PC has assumed a crucial role as a communication tool that transcends language. Nonetheless, PC makers' customer support has tended to place priority on users speaking the national language.

In response to this, Fujitsu is pioneering the launch of a foreign-language telephone support service, aimed at providing consistent, high-quality customer support for non-Japanese Fujitsu PC users in Japan.

Beginning by offering support in Korean, Fujitsu plans to gradually expand the service to include a number of additional languages in the future.

Service Description

In order to utilize the service, customers will need to first make an appointment. The call to schedule the appointment will be conducted in Japanese. Afterwards, a customer support representative will contact the customer in his or her native language during the pre-arranged appointment time to provide technical support.
