Fujitsu to Demonstrate "NeTTomorrow" Next Generation Networking Concept at ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 in Hong Kong

Fujitsu Limited today announced that it will exhibit cutting-edge products and services for Next Generation Networking (NGN) at ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006, the international networking exhibition to be held December 4 – 8 in Hong Kong.

Under its NeTTomorrow NGN concept, Fujitsu will demonstrate products and services for use in all fields, ranging from infrastructure technologies to customer applications. In addition, Fujitsu Limited chairman Naoyuki Akikusa will deliver a keynote speech on "Managing our Changing Digital Lifestyles" as part of the Forum session on Digital Lifestyles on Tuesday, December 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    (1) Main Stage
    Introduction of Fujitsu's "NeTTomorrow" NGN concept.

    (2) Application Zone
    Fujitsu's vision for next-generation phones and home networks that will be transformed by FMC (Fixed-Mobile Convergence) and other cutting-edge technologies.
    - Demonstrations will include "Home Gateway" for remote operation of digital home appliances.

    (3) Service Platform Zone
    Introduction of service platform products that will enable operators to deliver NGN services to their customers.
    - Demonstrations will include the UB300 advanced TCA server and IPTV solutions.
    - Introduction of Fujitsu's mission-critical computing products that includes PRIMEPOWER UNIX server, ETERNUS storage system, PRIMERGY PC server, and Interstage and Systemwalker middleware suites.

    (4) Transport Zone
    Introduction of Fujitsu products for building NGN infrastructure.
    - Exhibits of infrastructure equipment will include the FLASHWAVE 7500 optical transmission system that enables transmission speeds up to 40 Gbps and the Fujitsu and Cisco CRS-1 core router.
    - There will also be an exhibit of the Fujitsu Mobile WiMAX solution, which was announced in North America in October 2006.
    - Video transmission compliant with the H.264 standard for compressing large quantities of high-quality digital video data will also be demonstrated.
