Fujitsu Releases Eleven New Enterprise Tablet, Laptop, and Desktop PC Models in Seven Product Series

Expands line of models running Windows 10, with superior mobility and performance

Fujitsu Limited

Tokyo, January 18, 2016

Fujitsu today announced the release of a total of 11 new enterprise PC models in seven series running Windows, including two tablet models in two series, seven laptop models in three series, one desktop PC model, and one long-life PC model. The new models will be steadily rolled out in Japan from this month.

In its FUJITSU Tablet ARROWS Tab product family, Fujitsu will begin offering the ARROWS Tab R726/M, a new Windows tablet that combines performance suitable for office work with thin and light construction for superior mobility, and that has a wide-format 12.5" liquid crystal display (LCD).

In its FUJITSU Notebook LIFEBOOK family of laptops, Fujitsu will newly offer the LIFEBOOK U745/M and LIFEBOOK S936/M, two models that can be equipped with palm-vein sensors, as well as the LIFEBOOK E756/M, E746/M and E736/M, and the LIFEBOOK E556/M and E546/M, all of which share the same "Family Concept" chassis design, enabling efficient operations.

Main Features of the New Products

1. Expanded line of 2-in-1 tablets that excel in both office work and on the go

1) Thin and light ARROWS Tab R726/M tablet with wide-format 12.5" LCD

An easy-to-carry tablet with a depth of about 14.7 mm and weight of about 1.25 kg, even with the detachable magnetic keyboard attached. Security features such as encrypted SSD and a security chip(1) that manages encryption keys to further provide a mobile environment where work can be done safely, anytime and anywhere. Using the optional expanded cradle, it can be connected to external monitors or a wired LAN, making it possible to use as one's main PC.

Thanks to its 12.5" full HD display (1920x1080 pixels), it can display presentation materials on an easy-to-view full-size screen. Because it features a U stand that can fix the tablet body at an easy viewing angle, it is possible to view the screen while the tablet is standing.

In addition, Fujitsu offers wireless WAN models that can handle LTE communications.

2) High-spec ARROWS Tab Q736/M tablet with wide-format 13.3" LCD, with dust, water resistance

With a configurable architecture that can accommodate a variety of devices within the main body, palm vein sensors or smart cards can be inserted in this tablet, and it can also include the CLEARSURE 3G/LTE(2) remote data-deletion solution, enabling the building of a strong security system. In addition, it features water resistance (IPX5/7/8), dust resistance (IP5X) and chemical resistance(3), making it safe to use for outdoor work or in hospitals.

2. Expanded laptop line with high security functions and shared "Family Concept" chassis design

1) LIFEBOOK S936/M and LIFEBOOK U745/M, which can be equipped with palm-vein sensors

These laptops can be equipped with a palm vein sensor, which enables log-in to the Windows environment or an internal company system just by simply holding up one's palm, preventing unauthorized access. It frees users from complicated password management and operations, while delivering secure operation.

In addition, because the wireless WAN models support the CLEARSURE 3G/LTE(2) remote data-deletion solution, they prevent information leaks if the laptop is lost or stolen while on the go.

2) LIFEBOOK E and LIFEBOOK U series share a "Family Concept" chassis design

The LIFEBOOK E756/M, E746/M, E736/M, LIFEBOOK E556/M, E546/M, and LIFEBOOK U745/M were designed based on a shared "Family Concept" chassis. A uniform interface layout also heightens convenience. Accessories such as docking stations and AC adapters can also be shared among different models, enabling more flexible model selection suited to each user's style, without increasing management costs.

3. Enhanced line of desktop PCs

For the FUJITSU Desktop ESPRIMO desktop PCs, ESPRIMO K556/M runs on Windows 10 and is equipped with the latest Intel processor. In addition, the FUJITSU ESPRIMO Long-Life PC product family, able to last up to 10 years, has been enhanced with the new ESPRIMO J529/FA, which is equipped with the latest Intel Xeon processor.

  • [1] Security chip

The security chip is standard with Windows 10 Pro models, and a custom option with Windows 8.1 Pro models.

  • [2] CLEARSURE 3G/LTE

To use CLEARSURE 3G/LTE, a wireless WAN version of each model, a MobileSUITE Device Management CLEARSURE 3G/LTE Service contract, and a phone contract that supports SMS are necessary.

  • [3] Water resistant (IPX5/7/8), dust resistant (IP5X) and chemical resistant

The tablet maintains IPX5, IPX7, and IPX8 water resistance when the caps for the external connection terminals are firmly in place. The IPX5 designation indicates that the tablet can function normally after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3 m for a period of at least 3 minutes. The IPX7 designation indicates that the tablet functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap or still water at a depth of 1 m for about 30 minutes. The IPX8 designation indicates that the tablet functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap or still water at a depth of 1.5 m for approximately 30 minutes. However, this does not apply when palm vein sensors or smart cards are inserted, or to accessories such as keyboards. The tablet maintains IP5X dust resistance when the caps for the external connection terminals are firmly in place. IP5X indicates that the device can be placed in an apparatus with agitated dust particles with a diameter of 75 µm or less for 8 hours and continue to function and be used safely. However, this does not apply when palm vein sensors or smart cards are inserted, or to accessories such as keyboards. Because it is resistant to ethanol, isopropyl alcohol and sodium hypochlorite, it can be kept sanitary after use by wiping with alcohol. However, this does not apply when palm vein sensors or smart cards are inserted, or to accessories such as keyboards.
