KIDS DESIGN AWARD 2008 Kids Mobile F801i
This mobile phone comes equipped with numerous "safety" functions for parents and children, such as crime alarms, location verification, waterproofing, and left behind prevention. The design has a simple and powerful message based on the concept of "protecting children through sound and light", mainly for elementary and junior high school children.
Examination Committee Evaluation Comments
There is a good sense that the completed design can withstand use by adults without adopting a so-called"kids" design for skill and coloring. The functions such as crime prevention and emergency calling, which transcend the framework of mobile phone communications between parents and children, give a sense of modern social conditions involving children from the viewpoint of meeting the demands of the age.
