Fujitsu and nVision Support Digital Transformation at Lombard International Assurance

Fujitsu UK & Ireland

  • New digital platform provides Lombard International Assurance partners with comprehensive access to portfolio of online services
  • Co-creation was a guiding principle of the development process – with partners integrally involved in devising a solution to exactly meet their needs
  • Lombard International Assurance is very satisfied with the outcome: highly engaged partners proactively and seamlessly accessing policy and transaction information
London, April 05, 2017

Fujitsu has announced the completion of a digital transformation project – titled Connect – at Lombard International Assurance. In collaboration with user experience experts nVision, Fujitsu implemented a purpose built digital servicing platform for the global leader in wealth structuring for high net worth individuals and families.

Connect provides online and secure access to client data and transaction information. A dashboard with intuitive navigation provides real-time visibility of policy details and latest valuations of customer net assets. As a result, Lombard International Assurance partners and clients can easily monitor transactions and queries, while staying abreast of investment performance. With a focus on ensuring a positive user experience, the new platform serves as a central information hub for Lombard International Assurance’s partners.

As part of a co-creation approach, all stakeholder groups were involved from the outset to design and develop Connect. In the first phase, Lombard International Assurance ran a workshop to identify stakeholder needs, bringing together its business and IT departments with sales partners and the user experience team at nVision. Results were leveraged for a prototype which was then tested extensively with a wider group of partners. Multiple subsequent rapid rounds of input and revisions helped shape and refine the platform. This agile approach delivered a great end-result as reflected in a reduction of inbound call centre enquiries.

Cédric Jadoul, Head of Digital Strategy, Business and Application Services at Fujitsu Luxemburg, comments: "Excellent levels of partner acceptance for the Connect platform simply underline that the co-creation approach has been a huge success for Lombard International Assurance, for nVision, and for Fujitsu. We brought business divisions, back-office teams and partners together to respond to a global need. A key factor in unlocking this digital transformation was the ‘fail-fast’ approach of our agile methodology. This allowed us to quickly test ideas, make and correct mistakes, and deliver a solution that meets both the exacting requirements of the business and its partners alike. User feedback is overwhelmingly positive and is testament to the reputation of Lombard International Assurance as a leading digital innovator in the financial services industry.”

Renaud Marquet, Head of IT at Lombard International Assurance, adds: "We now have a platform that is unrivalled in the industry. The co-creation approach that was orchestrated by Fujitsu and nVision to develop Connect not only saved us a great deal of time, but also ensured excellent engagement from all stakeholders in the project. Thanks to Connect, our partners and their customers can enjoy an effortless, intuitive, self-service approach to finding policy and investment information. Since it is now also far easier to spend moments on a mobile device to access information rather than minutes on a call, we have also seen a reduction in the number of calls to our call centre.”

The Connect platform is currently being deployed with Lombard International Assurance's partners. A further phase of development to create even more features is already underway.
