Fujitsu Survey to Uncover Roadblocks faced by Women in the IT Channel

Munich, September 22, 2020 - In conjunction with its celebration of Business Women’s Day, Fujitsu today launches a survey to identify the greatest opportunities and challenges for women in the IT channel today in Europe.
Contributing over 80% of Fujitsu revenues, the channel is a crucial element of Fujitsu’s success – consequently the ability of this ecosystem to recruit and retain a diverse workforce is vital. This survey of Fujitsu’s Partner Network aims to explore the challenges that women in the channel still face in their working environment– from identifying day to day roadblocks to the effects of the pandemic. Fujitsu also aims to identify trailblazing women to serve as role models and examples to encourage a new generation of women into the IT channel and allies who support diversity in the channel to build a community.
Fernanda Catarino, Head of Channel Europe at Fujitsu comments: “Our industry is driven by innovation – and it is a recognized fact that being able to draw on a wide variety of perspectives and ideas allows us to challenge established ideas and to innovate far more effectively. We also know that diverse companies perform better, are more successful at recruiting and retaining employees, and have more engaged workforces – but women are still underrepresented in the channel. Our survey aims to shine a light on the greatest challenges that women in the channel are facing with the intention of helping our ecosystem remove these roadblocks for the benefit of individual women, our partners, and society as a whole.”
