[1] FY 2011 Smart Community Promotion Initiative
A support project conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan as part of the 3rd supplementary budget of FY 2011 in order to deploy smart communities, which heighten energy utilization efficiency, in three prefectures impacted by last year's earthquake: Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture. The initiative consists of two separate projects: "Smart Community Master Plan Formulation Project (Project I)" and "Smart Community Development Project (Project II)."
[2] Plan for Revitalization in Fukushima Prefecture (First Edition)
Based on the "Vision for Revitalization in Fukushima Prefecture," which was instituted on August 11, 2011 to lay down the basic principles and major policies for rebuilding Fukushima Prefecture, this plan outlines specific initiatives and major projects for the next ten years.
[3] Reconstruction Efforts Aimed at Local Community Revitalization
A reconstruction effort plan that outlines projects to be held by Aizuwakamatsu City to promote daily safety and security, the revitalization of the local economy, and eventually, the revitalization of the entire region following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
[4] Energy control center
With the aim of enabling the local production and local consumption of renewable energy, this center offers capabilities such as a visualization of how much local renewable energy is being utilized compared to local energy demand.
