  4. "Family Concept" shared design

The LIFEBOOK U745/K and LIFEBOOK T725/K have a shared "Family Concept" exterior design with the LIFEBOOK E series, and have integrated interface elements. In addition, accessories such as port replicators and AC adapters can be shared across the series. This means that offices with unassigned seating, conference rooms, or other shared spaces can avoid redundant accessories for different devices, and enables new devices to use existing accessories. This also makes it easier to use productivity-enhancing accessories without increasing administrative costs, giving users more freedom to choose the right tool for the job.

3. Full line of models with enhanced security features

  1. Secure and easy-to-use palm-vein sensors

Two of the newly released tablets and four of the notebook computers come with a built-in fingerprint sensor(13). The ARROWS Tab Q775/K, LIFEBOOK U745/K, and LIFEBOOK S935/K are also available with palm-vein sensors that can be used to let users log in to Windows or company systems. Not only does this make it easy to prevent unauthorized access, authentication with palm-vein patterns is difficult to fake and extremely accurate. Users can authenticate by simply waving their hands over a sensor quicker log in, and they will also be more receptive to its use as anyone can use this hygienic non-contact scanning technology.

  2. CLEARSURE 3G/LTE remote data-deletion

The ARROWS Tab Q775/K, LIFEBOOK U745/K, LIFEBOOK S935/K, LIFEBOOK T935/K, and LIFEBOOK T725/K, when purchased with wireless connectivity, all support the CLEARSURE 3G/LTE remote data-deletion service.

4. SMARTACCESS/Virtual v1.0L10 enables biometric authentication in virtual environments

The Fujitsu SMARTACCESS series of integrated authentication software makes it possible to use a variety of authentication technologies, including palm-vein sensors, fingerprint sensors, smartcards, or FeliCa cards, as alternatives for logging in to the Windows operating system or internal system. The development of SMARTACCESS/Virtual v1.0L10 to its SMARTACCESS series brings the ability to use biometric authentication such as palm-vein patterns and fingerprints to virtual environments such as VMware Horizon (with View), Citrix XenDesktop, and Citrix XenApp.

This means that, when using a Windows OS on a virtual environment or an internal system, login via a biometric authentication sensor is possible. When using a PC or tablet with built-in biometric authentication, or a PC or thin client connected to an external biometric sensor together with SMARTACCESS/Virtual v1.0L10, even when running a virtual environment, it will be possible to enjoy the same level of convenience and security as when running a local environment.

  • [3] Remote data-deletion service

With the encrypted hard drive, hybrid hard drive, or flash memory disk used in the data-deletion function in CLEARSURE 3G/LTE, the key used to decrypt data is deleted so that data stored on the hard drive, hybrid hard drive, or flash memory disk cannot be recovered. The data itself that is stored on the hard drive, hybrid hard drive, or flash memory disk is not deleted. This function can only be used with encrypted hard drives, hybrid hard drives, or flash memory disks chosen as part of a customized selection.

  • [4] Keyboard docking station

A keyboard option exclusive to the Q775/K equipped with interfaces for a USB port, analog RGB port, LAN port, HDM port, and the holes for the anti-theft lock.

  • [5] Less than 1kg

    Weight in standard configuration.

  • [6] Slim keyboard

Does not apply to the Q775/K.

  • [7] VESA mounting plate

A standard defining the position and dimensions of clasps and screw holes for mounting a thin display screen on the wall or onto an arm stand.

  • [8] NFC

Acronym for Near Field Communication. A standard for non-contact communications.

  • [9] Water resistance (IPX5/7/8), dust resistance (IPX5), and chemical resistance

Water resistance (IPX5/7/8): it maintains IPX5, IPX7 and IPX8 water resistance when the cap for the external input connectors is firmly in place. The IPX5 designation indicates that the tablet can normally function after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3 m for a period of at least 3 minutes. The IPX7 rating indicates that water will not penetrate inside the tablet and it will function normally after being gently immersed in a tank of room-temperature tap or still water of a depth of 1 m for approximately 30 minutes. The IPX8 designation indicates that the tablet functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap water to a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes. This, however, does not apply to the Q775/K tablet when equipped with a palm vein sensor or smart card, nor does it apply to keyboards or other accessories.
Dust resistance (IPX5): With the external connection terminal cap tightly closed, the IP5X dust-resistance feature protects the tablet from dust damage. IP5X indicates that the tablet can be left in an environment with dust particles with a diameter of 75 µm or less for 8 hours and continue to function and be used safely. This, however, does not apply to the Q775/K tablet when equipped with a palm vein sensor or smart card, nor does it apply to keyboards or other accessories.
Chemical resistance: Resists ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hypochlorite, and can be cleaned after use by wiping with alcohol to sanitize. This, however, does not apply to the Q775/K tablet when equipped with a palm vein sensor or smart card, nor does it apply to keyboards or other accessories.
