marzo 31, 2008

Fujitsu Services today announces the appointment of Katarina Mellström as Managing Director and Country Manager of new Fujitsu Services Sweden. Katarina Mellström will be tasked with the challenge of successfully integrating two organisations into one in the merger between Fujitsu Services and Mandator. A second challenge is to advance the new Fujitsu Services from its current position as the sixth largest IT company in Sweden to the top five.

“This is a great challenge and I’m really looking forward to it,” says Katarina Mellström. “I’m confident that our success in Sweden will be driven by our comprehensive business know-how and IT expertise, our lean thinking and our commitment to customer objectives and results. What’s more, we combine global reach with local market knowledge, we’re flexible and easy to do business with and – last but not least – we build our business on long-term customer relations, to the benefit of both partners.”

“We’re pleased Katarina Mellström accepted the challenge of leading Fujitsu Services Sweden,” says Mike Stares, Chair of the Board and Director of Fujitsu’s Nordic operations. “Katarina Mellström represents firm, modern leadership, and shows great commitment to the organisation as well as client operations.”

Katarina Mellström has been MD and President of Mandator since August 2006. Katarina Mellström came to Mandator from Ericsson, where her positions included head of advisory services in business consulting, technical consulting and training.

The new Fujitsu Services will be launched in Sweden on 1 April. By merging, Mandator and Fujitsu Services will form the sixth largest IT company in the Swedish market and offer a wide range of services, including expert consulting, outsourcing and hardware/software products. The company’s business concept revolves around establishing long-term customer relations built on success and mutual benefits.

The company has offices throughout Sweden and is headquartered in Stockholm. The company will employ more than 600 people. Customers include Coop, Sandvik, Volvo Cars Sony Ericsson, Swedbank, Toshiba and Åhléns, to name a few.
