Spain Fujitsu Includes Server Capacity in Elematic's Patja Service

Elematic Oy, a supplier of precast concrete machinery and equipment, production lines and complete production plants, will transfer its IT functions to Fujitsu Services Oy's Patja service at the beginning of June. The Patja agreement, which covers some 170 workstations, incorporates help desk and on-site support services, LAN maintenance and server capacity as a service.

"We opted for the Patja service, because the concept seemed to fit our needs and based on other Patja customers it is a high-quality operating model. Everything just seemed to fall into place," says CFO Eero Virtanen of Elematic.

Along with the Patja service, Elematic will give up its own servers and instead purchase server capacity as a service.

"This way we will have more capacity fast and easy whenever we need it, without having to buy new servers or make other time and money consuming arrangements. Our goal is to gradually give up all our ten in-house servers,” Eero Virtanen says.
