Munich, September 15, 2020 - Fujitsu customers can accelerate their digital transformation goals by more effectively managing data across hybrid IT environments with Microsoft Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu. The first managed service of its kind for Fujitsu customers, Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu represents a convenient pay-as-you-go approach to managing business data and ensures customers have a single point of contact for the entire service lifecycle.
Businesses today can only be as successful as the data they can capture and integrate into their enterprise operations – as they need to interrogate data from all parts of a business to generate the insights that can lead to transformative business decisions. But in most companies today, that data is widely distributed across increasingly complex hybrid IT landscapes that span on-premises equipment, public and private clouds. Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu is designed to seamlessly manage all their data, regardless of where it originated or where it is used.

Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu is designed for businesses with evolving hybrid IT infrastructures that still rely on on-premises equipment. Implementing this new service allows them to synchronize all their data in the cloud, ensuring that they cannot only consistently manage their data across their entire infrastructure but also seamlessly access that data from anywhere. The service enables multiple servers to share data via Azure, making it easy for businesses to centralize their data without sacrificing the flexibility, performance and compatibility of their local file server.
For Fujitsu customers, Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu streamlines tasks from replication to migration
Fujitsu customers can also use Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu to simplify migrations to the cloud as all data is already held on Azure. It can also easily ensure that data on multiple servers is synchronized without the use of replication technology such as DFS. This means that the information can easily be set up in a new location, for example if a server fails or if a new office needs to be provisioned. The Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu also supports tiering – so older, unused files can be moved to Azure, freeing up the capacity of local servers.

Rupert Lehner, Head of Central and Eastern Europe & Products Europe at Fujitsu comments: “Azure File Sync managed by Fujitsu is a complete package from a single source, making it easier for companies to relocate services to the cloud while still enjoying the levels of security they need. The Fujitsu value-add is represented by the combination of leading technologies, consulting and implementation services, as well as support.”

Implementation draws on Fujitsu’s global systems integrator partnership with Microsoft and its expertise as an Azure Expert Managed Service Provider (MSP)1. Fujitsu customers are guided through the implementation of Azure File Sync to ensure that customers can experience all the possible benefits of Azure. For example, Azure File Services on PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI. Customers also benefit from a single point of contact for the entire management of the service.
